Party Girl
This weekend was about partying and having fun. Got out of work around 6 on Friday after a great day of work and sushi with green tea ice cream! I have to write about my work. It might sound very geeky but I love my job. Basically all I do all day is sort through numbers and cross reference data and it's awesome. I really don't know why I like it so much but it's like playing sudoku all day. I have to work with tech and operation where most of the smart and interesting people work.
My boss is super smart. A kind of guy that doesn't make you work hard rather you want to work hard to look smart like him which is impossible. He's got ridiculously high IQ and unlimited energy. He is a runner and it's kind of having a role model, someone you can look up to.
I had to buy sushi for one of the guys I work with. He found me a Wii controller. We went for sushi around 1 on Friday, by that time I was starving. I had an hour training session in the morning and only had a glass of milk and a banana. I had the delicious rainbow rolls, mini vegetarian spring rolls and yummy green tea ice cream.
Left home around 8 to go to Afra and Ali's anniversary party. I got a bit drunk and danced away all night with my friends. It wasn’t too too bad though. Shadan didn’t start doing downward dog which means that she wasn’t drunk enough!
Saturday morning I had my RRSP appointment and went to Tiffany to change my pendant that was given to me by my ex. It's funny how over priced is the jewellery over there. I really liked that necklace but I guess you can't wear something that was given to you by your ex. It'll send a wrong message. I realize that I've changed so much though. I can't believe I actually got excited to see the Tiffany box. What a shallow thing to do. Who cares if it's Tiffany or fake? Most of the people that shop at Tiffany are fake anyway. I rather go to Manchester and watch a soccer game with that money. It's probably cheaper to do that. Anyway I got a new diamond necklace now! It's so not me wearing Tiffany necklace. Somewhere along the line I got into jewellery for couple of years, maybe influence by my friends and general Iranian culture. It’s amazing how that makes you like things that nothing to do with real you. I'm a girly girl. I like to wear skirt and look pretty and cute but I don’t like channel and LV and pretentious shit.
After the Tiffany trip, I went and drawn myself into popcorn to make up for boring morning of RRSP and Tiffany. I watched The Queen at Varsity by myself. Sometimes I like to be on my own. I ate a medium bag of popcorn and watch how queen drove her jeep with her dogs and ignore the people. I have to say it was a little cheesy but she played the queen very well. I came back home and had a nap.
My good old friend is here from Halifax. They picked me up around midnight and we headed to The Guvernmnet. I met up with another friend around two and danced until 7 in the morning. Yes… when I say party girl I really mean it. We were the last two people that left the koolhaus. (It was due to the fact that I lost my coat check ticket and I had to wait until everyone gets their coat back) It's always nice to know you have really good friends that are willing to wait until you find your coat! ;)
I'm so glad that this weekend is over and I get to go to Sam and Talayeh's place tonight to watch Oscar. I was supposed to make my Chocolate cherry trifle, but I'm too tired to do that. I'll pick up a cheesecake on my way there.
